Pre-Ballet

 4-6 year old

​

Pre-Ballet classes help foster your child's interest in dance, while increasing coordination, concentration levels, cooperation, flexibility and ability to follow instructions. Classes often incorporate free movement with utilization of props and different genres of music to give children the opportunity for self-expression. This class helps create the building blocks to prepare young dancers for the structure of a more advanced ballet class.

Tiny Dancer Classes

2-4 year old

Beginner Ballet

 5-8 year old

​

*Required: one year of Ballet* 

 

Ballet is the foundation of all dance. Body placement, flexibility, balance, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre and center floor work. Emphasis on understanding correct body placement and proper use of turn out of the legs while introducing musicality and expression of the body is a main focus of this class.

Ballet

Classical Ballet- is the ABCs in the dance world.

​

If you comprehend the basics of classical dance, you can move in any direction of dance. Our studio curriculum is based on the Vaganova Method, which originated in the Russian schools.  

Jazz

*Required: minimum one year of Ballet* 

 

Learn classic jazz technique and terminology with an emphasis on isolations and rhythm while encouraging individual expression and the development of personal style with the latest, most popular music.

Tap

Tap is a timeless art that combines dance and percussion. Class begins with warm up exercises that increase control, coordination, and rhythm, followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, phrasing, and musicality. The goal is to develop tap dancers that are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers.

Contemporary

*Required: minimum one year ballet*

Unleash your creativity and express yourself through movement in this dynamic and innovative dance class. Combining elements of ballet, modern dance, and improvisation, contemporary dance offers a fluid and expressive style that encourages individuality and personal storytelling.

 

Explore a wide range of techniques, develop strength, flexibility, and musicality, and discover the freedom of movement as you engage in contemporary dance's fusion of grace, athleticism, and emotional depth.

Lyrical

*Required: minimum one year ballet*

Lyrical is a fusion dance style of ballet, jazz and contemporary. Focus is placed on emotion, intent and improvisation of the music and movement.

Hip-Hop

Hip Hop is a high-energy class that uses todays music together with movements influenced by elements of poppin', locking, and breaking as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style.  Hip hop will help dancers develop body coordination, self expression, and cardiovascular health, while drawing from popular urban culture and music.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is an energetic dance class that incorporates singing, acting, and dancing! Get ready to be Broadway bound in no time!

​

Dancers will be introduced to the fundamentals of singing and acting, as well as working on a variety of performance skills.

Acro

Acro is a fusion of gymnastics and dance which teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and focus. Students will learn to combine skills such as forward and backward rolls, backbends, handstands and cartwheels as well as balance, acrobatic tumbling and partner skills into dance sequences.
