Competitive Team
About our team
At West K Dance, our Competitive Team is built for dancers who are passionate, committed, and ready to take their training to the next level. This program offers elevated technique classes, focused rehearsals, and opportunities to compete at regional events throughout the season.
Competitive Companies
We offer five Competitive Company groups. Ages are approximate and students are placed at the directors discretion:

Company A: Ages 15-18

Company B: Ages 13-16

Company C: Ages 10-14

Company D: Ages 8-10

Company E: Ages 5-7
Competition Opportunities
Companies A, B, C, and D dancers attend 4 competitions per season; one out-of-town, and three local.
Company E dancers attend two local competitions per season.

Team Requirements
All Competitive Company dancers must take the following mandatory classes:​

The minimum weekly training commitment is 4.5 hours.
Annual Performances
Competitive dancers participate in a Competitive Company Showcase each spring and a year-end show in June.
Auditions
All dancers must audition to join the Competitive Company Team.
